Top Crop Bush Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris)
This heirloom won the All-American Selections in 1950 — the same year it was introduced by the USDA. With strong yields and great flavor, the Top Crop quickly became a home garden favorite. Its smooth, straight pods form high on the plant.
- 40 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-10 days
- Maturity: 55-60 days
- Direct sow 1-1 ½” deep in full sun after danger of frost has passed. Beans need soil temperatures between 75-85° F to sprout.
- Space plants 3-6” apart; space row 2-3’ apart.

Top Crop Bush Bean
These beans are wonderful. They are soft, flavorful, and when picked early they have no string. I just learned, beans can be planted all season, so I'm ordering more.
