Winter

Left to mature, winter squash are a wonderful fall vegetable.  With their delicious, orange flesh and long storage properties, winter squash are a wonderful way of storing the bounty of the garden for the winter months.  Some keep for only a month or two, while others can last the entire winter, so you can enjoy winter squash from late summer through to the next spring.
