- Germination: 14-30 days
- Bloom time: Late spring through midsummer
- Scarify seeds to break outer seed coat. Start seeds indoors 4-8 weeks before planting. Gently press scattered seeds into seed starting mix and set in direct sunlight. Once seedlings form their first true leaves, gradually harden off and transplant in shade or partial shade after last frost. Direct sow in protected garden area after spring frosts. Keep evenly moist. Transplant seedlings to permanent garden home once sturdy.
