This beautiful turnip variety produces round 3-to-4-inch globes with smooth, golden skin. Flavor is sweet and smooth with a slight hint of almond. Gold Ball grows quickly, stores well, and is excellent for mashing.
- 300 Seeds Minimum
- Germination: 8-12 days
- Maturity: 45-65 days
- Direct sow ¼-½” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked.
- Space plants 1-2” apart depending on size desired; space rows 12-18” apart.

Great Turnip
The Gold Ball Turnip has worked out very well for us. Prolific, easy to grow, and tasty. The greens are also excellent. For us Alaskan growers, this turnip is a slam dunk. Highly recommended.

These turnips are fast growing and absolutely delicious!! beautiful golden color and add great flavor to soups and stews....we eat them like mashed potatoes ...The only regret I have is that I did not plant All of the seeds !
