Listed as far back as 1863, this classic heirloom produces large pods full of broad, flat green beans that become tan and creamy when dried. As a cover crop these tasty heirlooms will loosen your compacted garden beds while depositing a hefty dose of nitrogen to your soil.
- 20 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-10 days
- Maturity: 60 days
- Direct sow 1-1 ½” deep in full sun after danger of frost has passed. Beans need soil temperatures between 75-85° F to sprout.
- Space plants 3-6” apart; space row 2-3’ apart.
