This delicious leek is loved by gardeners from coast to coast. Reaching 15-20” tall, American Flag is sweet, mild, and easy to grow. Great raw, grilled, and cooked.
- 100 seeds minimum
- Germination: 5-10 days
- Maturity: 90-120 days from transplant
- Direct sow 1/8” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked. In northern climates, start indoors 8 weeks before last frost date. Plant multiple seeds into each container. Harden off seedlings before planting.
- Plant 2 per inch in rows 12-18” apart. To transplant, separate young plants and set 4-6” apart.
