75-80 day. One of the first snap beans that don't need the strings removed, it is really the bean of the Lazy Housewife. With it's pole habit that allows the beans to be picked while standing up and taking out the work of stringing, it is a great bean to grow. It has large seeds in the pods, more like a cutshort bean than a traditional string bean. Pick them young for a snap bean or let them dry for a shelling bean with shiny white seeds.
Minimum of 40 seeds per packet.
Planting Depth: 1 inch
Plant Spacing: 2-6 inches
Row Spacing: 2-3 feet
Direct seed after last danger of frost has passed in full sun. Beans need soil temperatures between 75-85 degrees F to sprout. Make sure to check your nighttime temperatures too. They will not sprout if soil temperatures are below 60 degrees F.
