Bai Zhu (Atractylodes macrocephala)
The rhizomes of this flowering medicinal herb are commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine with applications similar to ginseng. Purple hermaphrodite flowers bloom in late summer; roots are harvested in fall then baked for use in various tonics. Plants reach 2” tall.

- Plant ¼” deep in full sun/partial shade after frost danger has passed. Keep soil moist.
