Vates is quick to mature and slow to bolt. Flat, dark green leaves are sweet and flavorful. Heat and cold tolerant, Vates grows well in all climates. A great producer best sown in summer and harvested in fall. Bushy plants reach 24” in diameter.

- Germination: 7-14 days
- Maturity: 60-80 days
- Direct sow ¼” deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked. Plant again in midsummer for a fall harvest.
- Space plants 4-6” apart; space rows 12-18” apart.
