This year, a very dry one in Tennessee, I had Cherokee Purples, Italian Heirlooms, German Johnson and Arkansas Traveler. Others did well, but the Travelers were my favorite. Ripened to the stem, small core and a great taste. Prolific, too.
85 day. An excellent tasting tomato with a great balance of sweet and tart flavors, these 8 oz round pink-red tomatoes grow on vigorous indeterminate vines. Arkansas Traveler was developed by the University of Arkansas and was released in 1968. It has some disease resistance and is known for being able to produce in adverse growing conditions of high heat, humidity or drought.
Minimum of 25 seeds per packet.
