105-120 days. The AAS winner from 1937, it originally came to the US from Valencia, Spain. It produces yellow Spanish onions that are a great cooking staple. It has the same origins as Utah Yellow Sweet Spanish onion and is very similar. An excellent keeper. Intermediate day.

Plant Spacing: 4-6 inches
Start indoors 8 weeks before last frost. Sow up to 100 seeds in a 4-6 inch pot. To transplant, separate out the small, grass-like seedlings by picking up a bunch and rolling them gently in your fingers. Trim the tops to 4 inches and roots to 2 inches. Place in a deep trench, 5-6 inches apart. Cover the roots and then water. Seedlings are very tough and transplant well.
