Originally brought to the US in the 1870's from the Ukraine. It was brought to Kansas by Mennonite immigrants. An excellent variet for making your own bread.
Minimum of 1/2 lb
Planting Depth: 1/2-1 inch
Plant Spacing: Loosely scatter seeds on surface of soil (approx. 30-40 seeds/sq ft.)
Can be planted in the fall, around first frost or up to 3 weeks before, and will sprout again in spring.
Or can be planted in early to mid-spring and harvested in the fall.
