Thomas Jefferson was among the first in the US to plant this woodland heirloom in his Monticello gardens. Fragrant flowers open with luminous yellow petals that evolve to bright yellowy-green as they mature. If you are looking for a hardy, long blooming naturalizer, Sylvestris is a great choice. Plant with wildflowers or along a woodland walkway for a superb springtime display. Bulb size 6 cm.
