A well known Italian heirloom tomato that is highly prized for it's exceptional tomato sauce. It is very firm with moderate sized, roma-shaped tomatoes.
Minimum of 25 seeds per packet.
Planting Depth: 1/4 inch
Plant Spacing: 2-3 feet
Row Spacing: 3-4 feet
Start indoors 6 weeks before last danger of frost. Requires soil temperatures of 75‐85°F to germinate. Use of a heating mat is recommended. Transplant when all danger of frost has passed. Plant deep, removing all but the top leaves and planting all the available stem.

I grow three to four mainstay tomato plants each year. They are Rio Grande, Amana Orange, and San Marzano. The San Marzano are a great choice for sauces and even salsa.
