75 days. This is a summer variety, not hardy enough to overwinter, but fast to harvest. An excellent variety for baby leeks as well as for summer and fall harvests.
Minimum of 100 seeds per packet.
Planting Depth: 1/8 inch
Plant Spacing: 4-6 inches
Start indoors 8 weeks before last frost. Sow up to 100 seeds in a 4-6 inch pot. To transplant, separate out the small, grass-like seedlings by rolling them around in your fingers gently. Trim tops to 4 inches and roots to 2 inches. Place in a deep trench on their sides, 4-6 inches apart. Cover the roots and then water. Seedlings are very tough and transplant well. When the seedlings are established, continue to fill the trench to blanch the stems of the leeks.
