I didn't care for this carrot raw, but it was divine cooked! I'd cram as many as I could fit into the pan every time I made a roast.
I love this carrot. It grew well, and tasted great. The germination rate was great, and even with a very wet season, I lost only a small amount of carrots to disease.
My 9 year old granddaughter was just amazed at the fact of a purple carrot. I have enjoyed sharing this with adults and children alike. Even better, I live in an area with a lot of LSU tiger fans, and tailgating is a big part of social life here in the fall. Team colors.....purple and gold.....these carrots are perfect for a veggie tray for tailgate parties. A wonderful way to get kids to eat their veggies.
