Everyone loves a salad of baby greens - each leaf beautiful, delicate, and tender. Plus, it's so much faster to your first salad than waiting for them to reach full size. It is well worth growing a mix of lettuces that can be harvested young. This blend contains varieties that produce excellent baby leaves, as well as a nice variety of colors, shapes and textures.
Minimum of 250 seeds per packet.
Planting Depth: 0-1/4 inch
Plant Spacing: 3-6 inches
Row Spacing: 12-18 inches
Recommended: Direct seed in spring 2-4 weeks before last frost.
You can also start indoors and transplant when individual plants are about 3 inches tall.
In fall, plant 6-8 weeks before first frost.
Lettuce does not like heat and will get bitter and bolt (go to flower) if the temperatures are too warm. Cut off the flower stalks to extend the life of your lettuce. You can also bring indoors, if in a planter, and set in a sunny (preferably southern facing) window to extend the life of the plant.

Hardy, easy to grow, delicious!
Excellent flavor, highly prolific, long lasting, and extremely tough! Still harvesting from a early May planting...love it!
