Autumn King Carrot (Daucus carota)
These stocky, deep orange carrots make for delicious fresh eating when picked on the smaller side. Traditionally used as animal feed if left to grow larger, the Autumn King’s cylindrical roots can reach up to 12” long!
- 300 seeds minimum
- Germination: 14-28 days
- Maturity: 70-75 days
- Direct sow first crop as soon as soil can be worked in early spring. Gently press scattered seeds into loosened soil. Resow in late summer for a fall crop.
- Plant in full sun and water consistently.
- Space plants 2-3” apart in rows 12” apart.
