Aubervilliers Cabbage (Brassica oleracea)
Named for a suburb of Paris, this French heirloom gained global popularity in the early 1900s. Sweet, crunchy and mild, the Aubervilliers is an attractive, savoy-type cabbage that tastes excellent raw or braised. Harvest in late fall or early winter.
- 300 seeds minimum
- Germination: 7-14 days
- Maturity: 75 days
- Start indoors 6-8 weeks prior to last frost. Plant ½” deep in seed starting mix. Transplant in direct sun 2-3 weeks before last frost. For fall harvest, direct sow 6-8 weeks before first frost.
- Space plants 18-24” apart; space rows 24-36” apart.
