A beautiful mix of lettuces, reds and greens, romaines and leaf, frilly and flat leafed. If you want a beautiful and interesting salad mix, or you just can't decide, this is the blend for you.
Minimum of 1800 seeds.
Planting Depth: 0-1/4 inch
Plant Spacing: 3-6 inches
Row Spacing: 12-18 inches
Recommended: Direct seed in spring 2-4 weeks before last frost.
You can also start indoors and transplant when individual plants are about 3 inches tall.
In fall, plant 6-8 weeks before first frost.
Lettuce does not like heat and will get bitter and bolt (go to flower) if the temperatures are too warm. Cut off the flower stalks to extend the life of your lettuce. You can also bring indoors, if in a planter, and set in a sunny (preferably southern facing) window to extend the life of the plant.

This lettuce mixture is not only colorful and a great producer, but also very tasty. We planted the seeds in numerous planters on our deck and harvested the lettuce all summer long for extremely fresh, beautiful and amazing tasting salads. We will never go back to packaged lettuce again!
