Ipomea.  Legend has it that President Tyler brought these morning glory seeds to an Indiana farmer over 150 years ago.  It is deep purple with dark veins, and makes for a stunning morning display.  Most flowers curl up and close during the warm parts of the day and are only fully open in the morning.  What a wonderful way to cover a fence, decorate a mailbox, or even plant at the base of an obilisk as a centerpiece in your garden!
