Nasturtiums belong in every garden. With their edible leaves and flowers, they make an excellent addition to a salad. But they really belong in your cabbage planting and with your squash, and I love them below my pole beans. They drive away a lot of the bugs that attack cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale and brussels sprouts, and are said to deter squash bugs. I love using them as a beautiful ground cover below my pole beans, removing the need to weed.
